<note>The Cross, which at times weighs so heavily on your shoulders, has been divinely fashioned and prepared for you with a deeply planned and judicious motive. It is, very personally, yours. You may well believe that God has selected it out of many possible crosses as the most necessary and appropriate for you. Crosses do not happen by chance, but by divine design. The finger of God is upon yours, because He knows how much you can bear, he never puts a burden too heavy on shoulders too slim.
Or does He? This is the question to which many mortals are often included to answer yes. In their opinion, the portion of pain allotted to them is far beyond what they can endure or justly deserve. They sometimes have a mind to ask the Almighty why He is treating them so harshly while their neighbor across the street seems to have no crosses or cares at all.
If your cross didn’t fit into your life, you may be sure that God would never let it enter there. Nothing He does is accidental; everything is ordered and planned down to the tiniest detail. So is your cross planned and ordered to your strength and need, with rich potentialities for the good of your soul here and hereafter.</note>
