The call to contemplatian is not, and was never intended to be, the reserve for monks and recluses, it is a desire and capacity that serises in human heart that yearns forexpression and
articulation. It arises as a rayer does, as a disposition of the heart, not a skill bestowed outside, rather a yearning awakening from within which remains foundational and becomes the well-
springs to forge connections and relationships (O'Murchu 2001 : 150)
