  <title>Introducing catholic theology 3</title>

 <note>Being Human sets out to look for answers to the question in Psalm 8: 'What is man, that thou art mindful of him?' It seeks an understanding of humankind in the light of the Bible and Christian tradition, starting from the ideas to be found in the first chapters of Genesis and ending with the ultimate destiny of the human race as illustrated in the Book of Revelation.&#13;
The author addresses questions about the origins of man, original justice, sin and evil. He traces the concepts of body and soul in the European philosophical tradition, in scripture and in Christian tradition. He discusses man as person and community, man as male and female, including marriage and religious celibacy, and the unity and pluriformity of mankind. Man in the image of God leads on to the theme of Christ the last Adam, particularly as manifested in his Church. The book concludes with man's last end: the 'four last things' and the ultimate destiny of mankind.</note>
