To many the author is already known by the first volume of this Christian Ethics on general moral theology, which appeared in 1975 and went through a second printing in the meantime. Reviewers expressed the hope “theat the author will follow up this book with further detailed studies of modern ethical problems in…. Special Moral Theology.” They asked whether it is not “the moral obligation of the author” to hand down another book of the same quality dealing on specific moral themes, a book which readers of the first volume “are eagerly awaiting”. The present second volume hopes to come up to these expectations. It covers the whole of special moral theology and is the final volume.
